How often should I update my Website?

To have a properly Search Engine Optimized Website frequent updates are necessary. This is one of the most relevant factors as to where your website appears in search results. Search Engine Spiders visit your website periodically, if your content remains the same for several visits it will appear to be stale and therefore of no interest to be revisited. The result can be that your website will continue to flow downward in the search engine listings, replaced by websites that have frequent updates of keyword relevant text.

Can't I just resubmit my website to the Search Engines?

Yes, if as your website is maintained and updated on a regular basis. But submitting your website repeatedly with the same content can actually backfire on you, and even result in your website being blacklisted by some search engines. No one can afford that mistake. Getting your website off a blacklist is an arduous task at best.

How much of an update is required?

You do not need to rewrite your entire website monthly. That would be a task no one would like to undertake. But with regular monitoring of your websites search performance, web logs and statistics will enable you to identify what your web visitors are looking for when they find you in their search results and allow you to make adjustments to your text accordingly.

As part of our Web Hosting packages, you will have access to these logs to view these statistics yourself. You will also see in the traffic statistics for your website a list of pages users visit, and how often. This is also a great determining factor in which of your websites pages should be updated. Pick a few pages each month and submit any that are updated to the search engines to be re spidered. While the spiders are there they will also review you other pages because there is new content to be found.

Will you make the updates for my website?

Absolutely, as a Web Developer and a Professional Search Engine Marketer I understand the statistics and can inform you what changes should be made to best optimize your website.

Is there anything else I can do to keep my website content fresh?

There are a number of technologies available to keep your website content fresh.
